Donald Trump’s stunning win that fateful Tuesday, defying all the estimates – suggested there were was a shift in thinking. 2016 was really a humbling year for the reporter and journalist, and democrat. Predictions were shattered, polls discredited, facts eschewed and rationality dismissed. The elites were seen as self-serving and complacent.

Why do all hate Trump? And if not, they don’t dare speak any good of him.

No one dares publicly to talk any good about him. There are marches against him. The Jewish-American pop singer Madonna said that she could blow up the White House and got into a police investigation. A famous female reporter was fired, when she thought that Trump’s son will be ‘a first homeschool shooter of the US’.

Where does this pathological hate speech stem from?

The opinion of large masses are largely decided by the Western Editor’s Horde of 50 journalist-bureaus. It is, of course, not a conspiracy – but the world philosophy of this reporter type (or race), to which they dedicate their listeners. These reporters do not represent the Average Joe, but are mostly atheistic naturalists, legalizers of drugs, humanists, feminists, pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia, supporters of the sexual revolution, and people opposing the concept of the traditional family.

  1. There is definitely a shift in the air. Unfortunately, there’s so much hate spewing from people. Too many evil people in office/higher positions who want him out for obvious reasons – he’s not one to follow the rules. I don’t see him in office too long.

      I think nowadays people are so used to politicians trying to talk themselves out of situations – that this straight-talking, spontaneous action is something of a shocker. But that people respond with such spite is for me a surprise. I appreciate at all times more Trump’s straight talk than many politicians’ political BS. Even if he can’t deliver on his promises-I like that he utters what he wants to do.
      Many other politicians calculate in advance what they say – often their utterings are extremely uninteresting. I think people want to know what a leader is thinking even if there may flaws in character.

  2. I don’t know about where you come from, but in Scotland most ‘Average Joes’ are ‘atheistic naturalists, legalizers of drugs, humanists, feminists, pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia, supporters of the sexual revolution’. Or, as we call them, caring people who believe in freedom of choice.

      ceayr, I suspect it’s much a matter of education, background and life experience when it comes to what we feel comfortable with. During time we’ve each developed limits – or then we believe in having less limits or no limits. I think limits are needed, and in fact serves the society.

    Have you ever worked in journalism?
    Have you ever met or spoken (civilly) to a working member of the press?
    And what the fuck is “the traditional family”?

    Good heavens. It’s 2017, not 1717.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I do think, that lately neither f ex CNNs nor NYTs reporting have been very objective on matters. Therefore I welcomed the news that they were very recently banned from WH News conf. Trash News…

    3. I’m not a journalist! And I agree that it’s some incertainty to judging somebody on the base of what others write, but – English is a language widely spoken all over the world!
      And with a president that loves ‘to twitter’ and press conferences it’s pretty unavoidable that people all over the world with their own ears can hear and see what D. Trump says?!
      And they seem to draw a mutal conclusion.
      He may prevent som unwanted terrorists to get into the US, but the price seems to be
      increased isolation, less tourists and reduced standing in the rest of the world?
      We’ve all got eyes and ears, you know!
      I’ve never ever had trouble visiting the US (And I’ve passed 80), but wouldf I visit the US today? No thanks!

      2. Broadsideblog pleased to have you back! I wanted to say your last article about media is a good one.
        Nowadays it is norm to loath Trump. At least in public. I have tried to like Hillary, but haven’t managed. But when she comes close…then she does something (let’s not talk about the emails – I think that was an unfair, dirty affair to shoot her down). Like saying one thing, and then having to backtrack on her opinion.

        What I cannot tell you is the reason why 150 million people voted for Trump. I never expected it would happen!
        Neither am I living in the US, am based in Europe.
        I would have voted for Marco Rubio as I feel he is an intelligent, responsible individual who supports change but also has traditional values. To be honest I think he has all the chances for becoming a future Pres.
        Between Hillary and Donald, I would not have voted for H. Even with all that has happened with the Trump presidency. OK, I don’t approve of all the thing D has done, neither do I think his offending and sensational style will serve him well in the coming months. I find H calculating, expressing half-truths. I think she does herself no favors in appearing pretentious. Also I found Tim Kaine a muppet (but H did express that she wished to have a boring VP)

        But what this has done is shake up the biased reporting of the mainstream newspapers that call themselves ‘transparent, truth-seeking and objective’ – it simply ain’t true and they are so far from the saints they claim to be.
        So that is why … I ask, why should not the subject being trash (Donnie) equally pound away with the media. I’m for it. I think a lesson is well deserved.

      7. There is a fundamental risk to this experiment: Aggrivating something very much like a ‘star narcissist’ can be very risky. Especially in this case! Besides the US with its 325 million people you have Central America, large parts of Asia and Europ all hanging in the balance, That would be close to 2,5-3 billion people?
        All because you’ve chosen the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time?! I can see the frustrations in the US, but I can also see the risks involved. And I don’t much like it, but there’s nothing I can do about it.
        This experiment might at some point go terribly wrong!

      9. I think Obama was not bad. I think he was good. But his polished speeches were as interesting as watching paint dry. Fine words, adjectives – very uninteresting. Why not tell it how it is?
        He did a lot of good, and thought he was one of the best President US has had. Inherited a crap economy but got it going…approachable…friendly you name it.

        Yes I am afraid tourism to US will drop.

      I think reporting is a task requiring responsibility and skill. Just like any other profession. The problem with reporting is that if one does a crap job – still a lot of people are gonna end up reading the nonsense. That’s not the case in many other jobs, where a bad job done won’t necessarily land on other tables.

      We’ve got those talented, magnificent reporters that are able to objectively get to the point and give an accurate account of the situation. Despite what they may personally feel – they provide the most truthful story. Those I salute and have respect for. It’s a pity they have to suffer from the increasingly bad reputation media has acquired lately.

      Then we’ve got those bad apples who let their political agenda and pre-programmed assumptions get in the way, packaging an account that is both subjective and misleading. But hey – maybe it sells better like that!
      Many people – like me, are really bored with that sort of reporting and have throughly enjoyed the last couple of months where their actions are questioned. They’ve really got what they ordered since a long time. It’s hard to feel sorry for them. And I think by continuing to report in the same way, they do themselves a disfavor.

  5. I’m very happy you brought this up, as it is an (obviously) polarizing topic. I don’t know where the anger comes from that is directed at you, but i thought you made some good points. I can discuss it calm and rationally, where (unfortunately) others apparently on your comment thread cannot.
    I cannot even speak my opinion on the matter without people coming at me with hate, so I sit back and say nothing. I give props to those willing to speak up and ask questions. Bravo.

    1. TeacherofYA I much appreciate your comment! Thanks for courageously taking a stand. It’s easier to stay silent.
      In many cases nowadays it is the seemingly liberal and open minded that have themselves turned judgmental. At least that’s how I find.
      I don’t have to apologize for being a white European, and am tired of proposals to skip / ‘adjust’ religious / traditional teaching for my kids ‘because it offends minorities’ or some other pointless reason. I have the right to pass on traditions to my kids without being told my beliefs are narrow-minded and offensive.

  7. I’m not living in the US, but I’ve been there a good many times over the years from 1957 – 1985.
    What I cannot really understand is why 150 million people seem to think that D. Trump was the best possible choice for ‘President of the US’? It defies logic! It shouldn’t be possible!
    And yet – it happened!
    How can you all be sure that a ‘president elect’ (in any election) is a healthy individual with intelligence, integrity and a sane mind? Is there at any point a Medical board’ involved? (Like when joining the army?) In the army you’ll only get access to normal weapons. As ‘US President’ you will be getting access to toys like the Atomic and/or Hydrogen bombs!
    (Think before you vote! ) Was Obama really that bad?!
